Terms of Use
In short: J.C. Equity Group arranges, refers, and structures business-purpose commercial real estate financing. We are not a lender, and we are not a broker-dealer or investment adviser. Nothing on this site is a loan offer, a commitment, or an offer of securities. Lenders make all credit decisions.
1. About these terms
These terms apply to your use of jcequitygroup.com (the “site”), which is operated by J.C. Equity Group, LLC (“J.C. Equity Group,” “we,” “us”), a Wyoming limited liability company based in Colorado Springs, Colorado. By using the site, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.
2. What we do, and what we don’t
- J.C. Equity Group arranges, refers, and structures business-purpose commercial real estate financing. J.C. Equity Group is not a lender and does not make loans or loan commitments. Any terms are issued by lenders, subject to their own underwriting and approval.
- J.C. Equity Group is not a broker-dealer or investment adviser and does not sell securities. Nothing on this site is an offer to sell, or a solicitation of an offer to buy, any security.
- Business-purpose financing only; not for consumer, personal, family, household, or owner-occupied purposes.
- Not available for property located in California, or for 1–4 unit residential property located in Utah, at this time.
- We don’t publish rates, fees, or returns on this site.
3. Inquiries are not applications or commitments
Sending a financing inquiry, using the Loan Scenario Planner, or signing up for the newsletter does not create a client, advisory, agency, or fiduciary relationship, and it doesn’t obligate you or us to anything. We don’t promise that any request will be accepted, that any lender will issue terms, or that any loan will close. Any engagement is set out in a separate written agreement.
4. Compensation
Compensation, if any, is paid by the lender, not by you, and only if the loan closes. The amount is disclosed to you in writing before you accept any lender’s terms.
5. Educational content
Lessons, guides, and Syndication 101 material on this site and in our newsletter are general education. They are not legal, tax, accounting, or investment advice, and they aren’t a recommendation about any particular transaction or security. J.C. Equity Group does not offer or sell securities. Talk to your own advisers before you make decisions.
6. Information you send us
Please send accurate information, and only information you’re authorized to share about your business, its principals, and the property. Don’t send Social Security numbers, bank or brokerage account numbers, or credit reports through the site. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle what you send.
7. Acceptable use
Don’t use the site for anything unlawful; don’t submit someone else’s information without their authority; don’t try to break, overload, or get around the site’s security; and don’t use automated tools to collect content from it in a way that burdens the site.
8. Content and trademarks
The site’s text, design, and the J.C. Equity Group name and logo belong to J.C. Equity Group or its licensors. Photos are used under their own licenses and, unless a caption says otherwise, are representative images, not J.C. Equity Group projects or clients. You may view and share links to the site for your own, non-commercial use.
9. Links to other sites
The site links to other sites, such as our social media pages. We aren’t responsible for other sites’ content or practices; their own terms and privacy policies apply.
10. Disclaimers
We work to keep the site accurate and current, but it’s provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. Examples, charts, and process descriptions are illustrative; actual timing and outcomes vary by deal and lender.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows: (a) J.C. Equity Group and its members, managers, and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or lost opportunities, arising from or related to the site or its content, even if we were told they were possible; and (b) our total liability for any claim arising from or related to your use of the site is limited to $100. These limits don’t apply where the law doesn’t allow them. They don’t change any separate written agreement you sign with us; that agreement governs its own subject.
12. Governing law and venue
These terms are governed by Colorado law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the site will be brought only in the state courts located in El Paso County, Colorado, or the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado, and you and we consent to those courts’ jurisdiction. A separate written agreement with us is governed by its own terms.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We’ll post the new version on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
