Privacy Policy
In short: we collect what you choose to send us through our forms, plus limited website data. We use it to respond to you, to evaluate and arrange business-purpose commercial real estate financing you ask about, and to send educational emails if you sign up. When you ask us to arrange financing, we share your request with lenders. We don’t sell your personal information, and Google Analytics is turned off. If we ever turn it on, it will run only if you accept it.
1. Who we are
This website, jcequitygroup.com, is operated by J.C. Equity Group, LLC (“J.C. Equity Group,” “we,” “us”), a Wyoming limited liability company based in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
J.C. Equity Group arranges, refers, and structures business-purpose commercial real estate financing. J.C. Equity Group is not a lender and does not make loans or loan commitments. J.C. Equity Group is not a broker-dealer or investment adviser and does not sell securities. Our services are for business-purpose financing only, not for consumer, personal, family, household, or owner-occupied purposes.
2. What this policy covers
This policy covers information collected through this website and its forms, and the emails we send to people who sign up. It does not cover the websites, applications, or practices of lenders or other third parties, including any lender we introduce you to. Their own privacy policies apply to the information they collect.
3. Information we collect
Information you give us
| Where | What we collect |
|---|---|
Financing inquiry (/apply) | Contact details (first and last name, phone, email); your role and the borrowing entity (legal name, entity type, state of formation); property details (address, city, state, ZIP, property type, ownership); deal details you choose to share (financing type and estimated amount, purchase price, as-is and after-repair values, budgets, existing debt, rents, taxes, insurance, HOA, timing, loan purpose, exit strategy); experience and liquidity information; an optional, self-reported credit score range; notes; how you heard about us or who referred you; and your business-purpose and occupancy certifications. |
| Newsletter signup (when available) | First name, email address, and a record of the consent wording you agreed to (for example, “Newsletter v1, education email only”) and when. |
| Contact and conversation forms | Name, email, phone, company or entity, the topic you select, and any notes you add. |
| Email and phone | Whatever you include when you write to or call us. We don’t send marketing text messages. |
We do not ask for Social Security numbers, bank or brokerage account numbers, or credit reports through this website. Please don’t send them through our forms or by email.
Loan Scenario Planner. The planner’s answers stay in your browser. When you continue to the full application, the planner passes only your property type, loan type, city, state, and timing in the link, never your name, email, or phone. Nothing is submitted until you send the full application.
From others. We may receive information about your business and its principals from public records (for example, county property and state business filings) and from people who refer you to us.
Information collected automatically
- Campaign source. If you arrive through a tagged link, the labels in that link (for example, utm_source=linkedin) are saved with your inquiry. If you accept analytics, we also keep those labels in your browser’s session storage for the rest of your visit, so they stay attached if you leave the form and come back to it. They are short labels, never your email or phone number. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, campaign-source labels aren’t stored or saved with your inquiry (see section 6).
- Analytics (only if you accept). We may use Google Analytics 4. It is currently turned off and does not load; before we turn it on, we will ask for your choice. If you accept analytics, Google Analytics 4 collects information about your visit, such as pages viewed, referring site, device and browser type, and approximate location derived from your IP address. Analytics do not load if you decline.
- Hosting and security logs. Our website host and form-processing provider (Cloudflare) processes technical data such as IP address, browser user agent, and request details to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
4. How we use information
- To respond to your inquiry and follow up with you.
- To review whether a request fits, and to package, arrange, refer, and structure business-purpose financing you ask us about.
- To introduce your request to lenders whose programs may fit, when you ask us to arrange financing.
- To send the weekly educational email if you signed up. It is education only and never includes offering materials or invitations to invest.
- To understand which pages and content are useful and to improve the site.
- To keep the site secure, prevent misuse, keep business records, and comply with law.
5. How we share information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. If you’d still like to send a do-not-sell request, email [email protected]. We don’t build advertising profiles. We share information only as follows:
- Lenders. When you ask us to arrange financing, we share the details of your request (including contact, entity, property, and deal information) with lenders we introduce it to. Lenders make their own credit decisions and handle your information under their own privacy policies.
- Service providers that run our business for us, under their terms: monday.com (our customer relationship management system, where form submissions are stored); Cloudflare (website hosting and form processing); Google (Analytics, only if you accept); and our email delivery provider.
- Professional advisers, such as lawyers and accountants, as needed.
- Legal and safety reasons: to comply with law, legal process, or regulators, or to protect rights, property, and safety.
- Business changes: as part of a merger, sale, or reorganization of our business, subject to this policy.
6. Cookies, analytics and similar tools
| Name | Type | Purpose | When it’s set |
|---|---|---|---|
jc_analytics_consent | Browser local storage (ours) | Remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics | When you make a choice in the cookie banner or Cookie settings, or automatically as “declined” if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal |
jc_utm | Browser session storage (ours) | Keeps campaign-source labels from the link you arrived on so they stay attached to your inquiry during your visit. Deleted when you close the tab, or if you decline analytics | On the financing inquiry page, only after you accept analytics, and never if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal |
_ga, _ga_<ID> | Cookies (Google Analytics 4) | Distinguish visits and measure site usage | Only after you accept analytics. Deleted from this site if you later decline |
Google Analytics is currently turned off: the site does not load it or set analytics cookies. If we turn it on, it will stay off unless you accept it, and the site will work the same either way. To change your choice later, use the “Cookie settings” link in the site footer, or clear this site’s data in your browser to see the choice again. Our site does not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals, because analytics already stay off until you opt in.
Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a choice to decline analytics: analytics won’t load and campaign-source labels won’t be stored. We don’t sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising in any case.
Third-party tracking. If you accept analytics, Google may collect information about your online activity over time and across different websites. See Google’s privacy policy (opens in a new tab) and the Google Analytics opt-out add-on (opens in a new tab).
7. Emails and the newsletter
Newsletter signup isn’t open yet. When it opens, we’ll send the weekly lesson only to people who sign up. Every email includes an unsubscribe link and our mailing address, and you can unsubscribe at any time. Signing up for the newsletter is not an application, does not create an advisory or client relationship, and never includes or leads to offering materials.
8. How long we keep information
- Inquiries that don’t move forward: up to 3 years after our last contact with you.
- Financing we arranged (closed transactions) and related invoices: 7 years after closing, for tax, accounting, and legal records.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe. After that we keep only your email address on a do-not-email list so we don’t contact you again.
- Analytics (only if you accepted): 14 months, then Google deletes it.
- Hosting and security logs: kept by Cloudflare for its standard short periods.
We may keep information longer if the law requires it or to resolve a dispute.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections and access controls on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.
10. Your choices and requests
- Access, correction, deletion: email [email protected] to ask what we hold about you, or to correct or delete it. We’ll confirm we received your request within 10 business days and respond within 45 days. If we need more time (up to 45 more days), we’ll tell you why. We may need to verify your identity and may keep information the law requires us to keep.
- Unsubscribe from emails with the link in any email, or by emailing us.
- Analytics: decline in the cookie banner, change your choice any time with the “Cookie settings” link in the site footer, or turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser.
- Requests from anywhere. We offer the access, correction, and deletion choices above to everyone, wherever you live.
California residents (CalOPPA): this policy describes the categories of information we collect, the categories of third parties we share it with, how you can review and request changes to it, how we respond to Do Not Track signals, whether other parties may collect information about your online activities over time and across websites, and how we notify you of changes.
11. Children
This website is for businesses and adults seeking business-purpose commercial real estate financing. It is not directed to children under 18, and we don’t knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child sent us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We’ll post the new version on this page with a new “Last updated” date, and for material changes we’ll give additional notice where appropriate, for example on the site or by email.
